About Claytonia sarmentosa C.A.Mey.

Claytonia sarmentosa C.A.Mey. is a flowering plant species in the genus Claytonia. It is native to mountain areas of the Lake Baikal region, eastern Siberia, and northwestern North America, including Alaska, Yukon, and northern British Columbia. It is a widespread species found across the mountain chains of Asia and North America. This species has faced conflicting taxonomic classifications, and it is often confused with Claytonia arctica and C. scammaniana. A 2006 taxonomic revision included analysis of a population from the Udokan Mountains, along with comparison to Alaskan specimens of the species.
