About Claytonia acutifolia Pall. ex Willd.

Scientific name: Claytonia acutifolia Pall. ex Willd. Introduction: Claytonia arctica, commonly called the Arctic spring beauty, is a flowering plant species. It is native to a region stretching from Siberia (which includes the Taimyr Peninsula and Wrangel Island) eastward to the Aleutians and Bering Sea islands of Alaska. It is a plant species found in the circumpolar Arctic, and has historically been confused with two other species: Claytonia sarmentosa and C. scammaniana. A 2006 taxonomic revision that included lectotypification of Claytonia arctica has been published.
