About Cladonia subulata (L.) Weber ex F.H.Wigg.

Cladonia subulata (L.) Weber ex F.H.Wigg. is a species of fruticose, cup lichen belonging to the family Cladoniaceae. Carl Linnaeus, a Swedish taxonomist, first published it as a new species in 1753. Friedrich Heinrich Wiggers later transferred this species to the genus Cladonia in 1780. In North America, it is commonly known by the colloquial names antlered powderhorn and antlered cup lichen.
