About Cistus inflatus Pourr. ex Demoly

Cistus inflatus Pourr. ex Demoly is a slightly spreading shrub that grows up to 1 meter (3 feet) tall. Its leaves are green and oblong in shape, typically 2โ€“6 cm (0.8โ€“2.4 in) long and 5โ€“20 mm (0.2โ€“0.8 in) wide. Leaf margins are revolute, meaning they curve under. Leaves are variably hairy, with long simple and stellate hairs present on both sides. Leaves are unstalked (sessile), and have three veins at least near the base. Flowers are arranged in cymes, holding between one and five individual flowers. Each flower is 4โ€“6 cm (1.6โ€“2.4 in) across, with five white petals that have narrowed yellow bases, and five sepals. The flower style is very short. Cistus inflatus, which is generally recorded under the name C. psilosepalus, is native to Portugal, western Spain, and two small regions of north-west France.
