Cisthene subjecta, commonly called the subject lichen moth, is a moth species belonging to the family Erebidae. This species was first described by Francis Walker in 1854. It is found in the south-eastern United States, with confirmed records from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas. The wingspan of this moth is approximately 12 mm. Adult individuals have been observed in flight throughout the entire year.
