Cisthene liberomacula is a moth belonging to the Erebidae family. This species was first described by Harrison Gray Dyar Jr. in 1904. It can be found along the coast of California, a U.S. state. Its typical habitat is in areas that host coastal live oaks. The forewings of this moth measure 8 to 10 mm in length. Adult Cisthene liberomacula have been recorded in flight during April, and again from June through November. The larvae of this species feed on lichens that grow on oak trees.
