About Cirrochroa tyche Felder, 1861
Cirrochroa tyche, commonly known as the common yeoman, is a nymphalid butterfly species that lives in forested regions of tropical South Asia and Southeast Asia. On the upper side of its wings, the base color is tawny orange, with a black distal margin and wavy (sinuate) marginal and submarginal lines. The hindwing has black post-discal spots. Females have duller orange wing coloration than males, and the black margin at the forewing apex is broader in females than in males. On the underside of the wings, males have paler orange, while females have dull brownish-orange coloration. Both forewings and hindwings have a silvery white transverse discal band on the underside.
