About Circopetes obtusata (Walker, 1860)

Circopetes is a monotypic moth genus in the family Geometridae, which was erected by Louis Beethoven Prout in 1910. The genus contains only one species: Circopetes obtusata, commonly known as the grey twisted moth. This species was first formally described by Francis Walker in 1860. It is found in mainland Australia. The adult wingspan of Circopetes obtusata is approximately 60 mm. The larvae of this moth feed on Eucalyptus nicholii.
