About Cinnamomum iners (Reinw. ex Nees & T.Nees) Blume
Cinnamomum iners (Reinw. ex Nees & T.Nees) Blume is an evergreen tree that reaches up to 20 meters in height. Its branches produce opposite twigs that are robust, angular, sometimes tetragonal, and glabrescent. Leaves of this species are subopposite, ranging from ovate to elliptic in shape, measuring 120–350 mm long and 60–85 mm wide. Leaves are glabrous, with a wedge-shaped base and a blunt apex. Petioles are 10–30 mm long, reddish brown, and more or less pubescent. The small, bisexual, pubescent flowers are clustered in axillary or terminal panicles; these inflorescences measure 60–260 mm in length. Fruits are ovoid, typically 10 mm long and 7 mm wide. This species blooms and bears fruit from March to June. It grows in moist woods and thickets, at elevations up to 1000 metres.
