About Chrysophora chrysochlora (Latreille, 1812)

Chrysophora chrysochlora (Latreille, 1812) reaches an adult body length of approximately 25 to 40 millimeters, or 0.98 to 1.57 inches. The entire body has a shiny metallic green coloration with distinct golden reflections. The elytra have a granulated texture. Males of this species are larger than females, and males also have two prominent elongated spurs on their hind legs, plus enlarged tarsal claws. This species occurs naturally in Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru.
