Chrysolina grossa (Fabricius, 1792) reaches a length of approximately 10 millimetres (0.39 inches). Its head and pronotum display metallic blue-green colouration, while its elytra are bright red. This species can be distinguished from Chrysomela populi by its longer antennae and wider pronotum. It is mainly distributed across France, Italy, Spain, and former Yugoslavia.
