About Chrysocoma cernua L.

Chrysocoma cernua L. is an erect, leafy perennial shrub that grows up to 50 centimeters tall. It has green, linear, hairless leaves that are slightly flattened and curve upward. Its flowers grow at the ends of stems, are yellow or golden in colour, and have a discoid, button-like shape. This species is endemic to South Africa, where it occurs in the Northern Cape and Western Cape Provinces. It has been introduced to the United Kingdom, where it has become naturalized, and to Australia, where it has become an invasive species.
