About Chrysina beyeri (Skinner, 1905)
Chrysina beyeri, commonly called Beyer's scarab, is a species of shining leaf chafer belonging to the scarab beetle family Scarabaeidae. This bright green beetle is native to Chihuahua, Mexico, and southeastern Arizona, United States. It is similar in size and general appearance to the related species C. woodi, but C. woodi has green legs and blue tarsi. In contrast, both the legs and tarsi of C. beyeri are blue-purple.
