About Choristostigma roseopennalis Hulst, 1886
Choristostigma roseopennalis is a species of moth belonging to the family Crambidae. It was first described by George Duryea Hulst in 1886. This moth can be found in Mexico and the United States. Within the United States, it has been recorded in the states of Arizona, Georgia, Indiana, Maryland, North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee, and Texas. This moth has an approximate wingspan of 18 millimeters. Its forewings are canary yellow; the costal edge of the forewing is bright rosy pink across the two-thirds of the wing closest to the base. It has a bright rosy outer band that merges with a broad, uniformly rosy marginal band at the inner angle of the forewing. Its hindwings are white. Adult Choristostigma roseopennalis are active and on wing between the months of May and September.
