About Chlorospingus canigularis (Lafresnaye, 1848)
The ashy-throated chlorospingus (scientific name Chlorospingus canigularis) is also commonly called the ashy-throated bush tanager. This bird species has traditionally been classified in the family Thraupidae, though recent research suggests it may be more closely related to the genus Arremonops within the family Passerellidae. This species is distributed across Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Panama, Peru, and Venezuela. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests, subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, and subtropical or tropical moist montane forests.
