Cheilanthes sieberi Kunze is a small fern with the common names poison rock fern and mulga fern. It can be found across many regions of Australia, New Zealand, and nearby islands. This fern may reach a maximum height of 25 centimetres, or 10 inches. It is a widespread plant that occurs in a wide range of different habitats, ranging from arid areas to sites with an average annual rainfall of over 1500 mm. In desert regions, it grows in shaded rocky gullies. Near coastlines, it can grow in full sun in rock cracks or thin soils.
