Ceriagrion auranticum is a species of damselfly that belongs to the family Coenagrionidae. It is commonly known by the common name orange-tailed sprite. This species was first described by Fraser in 1922. It can be found in South and Southeast Asia. In 1987, Hämäläinen classified Ceriagrion latericium Lieftinck, 1951 — a species originally described from Sumatra — as a junior synonym of Ceriagrion auranticum. This damselfly breeds in slow-running streams, ponds, and swamps.
