Cerastis faceta is a moth species that belongs to the family Noctuidae. It was formally described by Treitschke in 1835, and its scientific name is Cerastis faceta Treitschke, 1835. This moth is found in Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, and also on the islands of Corsica, Sardinia, Malta and Sicily. The wingspan of adult Cerastis faceta ranges from 30 to 32 mm. Adult moths are active and on wing from February to April each year. The larvae of this species are polyphagous, feeding on a range of low-growing plants, including species in the Taraxacum and Lactuca genera. Larvae feed during the night, and remain resting underground during the day.
