Celmisia walkeri (scientific name Celmisia walkeri Kirk), also known as Celmisia webbiana, is a sub-shrub belonging to the genus Celmisia. It has spreading, semi-decumbent, woody stems, with terminal rosettes of linear-oblong gray-green leaves that measure about 2 inches (51 mm) long. In early summer, it produces white-rayed flowerheads that reach up to 1.5 inches (38 mm) wide, which contain yellowish white disk florets. Stems of this species grow up to 12 inches (300 mm) tall, and the plant typically spreads to around 12 inches (300 mm) wide, classifying it as a moderately high plant. It grows in hardiness zone 9โ10, and can only survive in heat zones 9 and 10. Members of the genus Celmisia are very tropical and heat tolerant. Celmisia walkeri is native to New Zealand, and its common name is New Zealand daisy.
