Type: The type specimen of Celmisia glandulosa Hook.fil. is from NEW ZEALAND, specifically the Northern [North] Island, at the foot of Tongariro. The specimen is Colenso 953 in Herbarium Hookerianum. The lectotype is K 882070 (image available), designated by Allan in 1961 on page 630, and there is an isolectotype WELT SP 24131.
