Celiptera frustulum, commonly called the black bit moth, is a moth species that belongs to the family Erebidae. It is distributed in eastern North America, ranging north to Ontario. This species has a wingspan between 34 and 41 millimeters. Adult black bit moths are active from May to June, and produce two generations per year. The larvae of Celiptera frustulum feed on Robinia pseudoacacia.
