About Catoptria oregonicus Grote

Catoptria oregonicus, commonly known as the western catoptria or Oregon catoptria moth, is a species of moth in the family Crambidae. It was first described by Augustus Radcliffe Grote in 1880. This moth is native to North America, with recorded ranges extending from British Columbia and Alberta south to Montana, Oregon, and northern coastal California. It inhabits meadows located in mountains and foothills. The wingspan of adult Catoptria oregonicus measures 17 to 21 millimeters. Adult moths are active from July through early September.
