Catocala muliercula, commonly known as the little wife underwing, is a moth species belonging to the family Erebidae. It was first described by Achille Guenée in 1852. In the United States, this species can be found from Massachusetts and Connecticut southward to Florida, and westward to Texas and New Mexico. Its wingspan ranges between 54 and 70 mm. Adult moths are active between May and July, with activity timing varying based on location. This species likely produces only one new generation each year. The larvae of Catocala muliercula feed on Myrica cerifera.
