Catocala judith, commonly known as Judith's underwing, is a moth species belonging to the family Erebidae. It was first formally described by Strecker in 1874. This species is found across North America. Its range extends from southern Quebec (where it is rare) and Ontario in Canada, south into the United States from New Hampshire through Connecticut and New Jersey to North Carolina and Georgia. Its range stretches west to Oklahoma and Iowa, and north to Wisconsin within the United States. Adults have a wingspan measuring between 45 and 55 mm. The flight period for adult moths runs from July to October, with the exact timing varying by location. The larvae of this species feed on Carya illinoinensis, Carya ovata, and Juglans nigra.
