About Catocala conversa Esper, 1783

Catocala conversa is a moth species in the family Erebidae. It was first described by Eugenius Johann Christoph Esper. It is found in the Mediterranean zone and parts of the sub-Mediterranean zone, including southern Europe, North Africa, and Asia Minor. The wingspan of this moth ranges from 50 to 54 millimeters. Like related moth species, Catocala conversa has one generation per year. Adult moths are active from June to August. The larvae of this species feed on plants from the Quercus genus.
