About Catapodium rigidum (L.) C.E.Hubb.

Fern-grass (scientific name: Catapodium rigidum (L.) C.E.Hubb.) can be hard to tell apart from sea fern-grass in areas where the two species grow together. It can be distinguished by two key traits: fern-grass has a more open panicle, and the stalk that supports its inflorescence is ridged. In comparison, the inflorescence stalk of sea fern-grass is rounded on one side.
