About Cataclysme riguata (Hübner, 1813)

Cataclysme riguata is a moth that belongs to the family Geometridae. Its distribution spans from the Iberian Peninsula, through western and central Europe, to the mountain regions of Central Asia. The wingspan of this moth measures approximately 20 to 23 millimeters. Adult moths are active from the end of April to the beginning of June, and a second generation appears again from July to August, meaning the species produces two generations each year. The larvae of Cataclysme riguata feed on Asperula cynanchica, Bellis perennis, and Galium. This species overwinters in the pupal stage.
