This species occurs in multiple Chinese provinces and regions including Beijing, Chongqing, Fujian, Gansu, Guangdong, Guangxi, Guizhou, Hebei, Heilongjiang, Hubei, Hunan, Inner Mongolia, Jiangsu, Jiangxi, Shaanxi, Sichuan, and Zhejiang, as well as Taiwan, Japan, Mongolia, North Korea, and the Russian Far East. Adult Cassida vespertina have an oval-shaped body. Their pronotum is ochraceous brown, while their elytral disc is dark brown.
