This beetle feeds on several plants from the family Chenopodiaceae, specifically feeding on beet (Beta vulgaris), Chenopodium album, Chenopodium glaucum, and Atriplex hortensis. It has a wide distribution, found across most of Europe, Russia, and East Asia including China, Korea, and Japan.
