About Cassida denticollis Suffrian, 1844
Like all species in the genus Cassida, Cassida denticollis Suffrian, 1844 has a head that is completely covered by the pronotum, and wide elytral margins. Adult individuals of this species measure between 5.1 and 7.0 mm in total body length. Their body is primarily green, with distinct brownish-red areas surrounding the scutellum. A clear, distinct tooth is present on the rear edge of the pronotum, and the front edges of the elytra bear a row of small, strong, blunt teeth; this species gets its name from these diagnostic teeth.
