About Carrichtera annua (L.) DC.

Carrichtera is a genus of flowering plants in the Brassicaceae family. The genus contains only one species: Carrichtera annua (L.) DC., which is commonly called Ward's weed. This species is native to a region that stretches from Macaronesia, across North Africa and Western Asia, to Iran and Saudi Arabia; it is also native to Portugal and Greece in southern Europe. It has been introduced to Italy, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and the U.S. state of California, where it is classified as an invasive plant.
