About Carex siccata Dewey

Carex siccata, commonly known as dryspike sedge, is a species of the genus Carex that is native to North America. It is classified as endangered in the state of New Jersey. As of May 2021, USDA Plants recognizes Carex foenea as a synonym of Carex siccata. In contrast, the World Checklist of Selected Plant Families only treats two varieties of Carex foenea as synonyms of Carex siccata, and considers Carex foenea itself to be a separate species.
