Carex joorii, commonly known as cypress swamp sedge, is a species of flowering plant belonging to the sedge family, Cyperaceae. It is native to the United States, and is found primarily in the country's Southeastern region. Its natural habitat is the shallow water of depression swamps, where it often grows alongside Sphagnum moss. It can also occur in bottomland woods and wet prairies. This species is a perennial graminoid, and it produces fruits from summer through early fall.
