About Carex disticha Huds.

Carex disticha Huds. is a Eurasian sedge species, commonly called brown sedge, and known as tworank sedge in North America. It is native to parts of Northern and Western Europe, where it grows in moist locations across a variety of habitat types. Within its native range, this species is often associated with the Juncus subnodulosus–Cirsium palustre fen-meadow habitat. It has been introduced to the Great Lakes region of southern Canada, where it has only been recorded at two sites: one in Ontario and one in Quebec.
