Carex crawei, commonly known as Crawe's sedge, is a species of flowering plant belonging to the sedge family. It is native to North America, where it is widespread across the United States and Canada. Even though it has a wide range, it has a patchy distribution and is generally rare throughout the area it grows. This species grows in wet calcareous areas, most often associated with flat limestone outcrops or gravel. It typically occurs in high quality natural habitats. It is a rhizomatous perennial that produces flowers in early spring.
