About Carex baccans Nees

Carex baccans Nees, commonly known as the crimson-seeded sedge, is a flowering plant species belonging to the family Cyperaceae. It has a widespread distribution across subtropical and tropical Asia, covering most of the Indian Subcontinent, southern China, most of Malesia with the exception of Borneo, and extending to New Guinea. An endophytic bacterial species, Glycomyces endophyticus, has been isolated from the roots of this plant.
