About Cardamine trifolia L.

Cardamine trifolia, commonly known as trefoil cress, trifoliate bittercress, or three-leaved cuckoo flower, is a species of flowering plant in the Brassicaceae family. It is native to central and southern Europe, and has been introduced to Great Britain. The species appears to have survived the last glacial period in several glacial refugia located in the Alps, the western Carpathians, and the Dinaric Alps, and spread out into surrounding areas from these refugia. It is a creeping perennial, and is recommended for use as a ground cover in shady garden areas.
