About Caradrina germainii (Duponchel, 1835)

Caradrina germainii is a species of moth in the family Noctuidae. It was first described by Philogène Auguste Joseph Duponchel in 1835. This moth is found in south-western Europe, including Sardinia, Corsica, Sicily and Malta, and in North Africa, specifically Morocco and Algeria. It occurs most commonly in garigue habitats. Adult Caradrina germainii have been recorded flying in two separate periods: from June to July, and again from September to October. Its larvae feed on a variety of low-growing plants.
