About Caradrina flavirena Guenée, 1852

Caradrina flavirena is a moth species belonging to the family Noctuidae. This species was first described by Achille Guenée in 1852. Its known distribution includes Morocco, Algeria, southern Europe, Turkey, Israel, Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, Armenia and Iran. The species inhabits grassland areas. It produces two generations each year; adult moths are active on the wing between March and May, and again between September and October. The larvae of Caradrina flavirena are polyphagous, feeding on a variety of low-growing herbs.
