Carabus morbillosus, scientifically named by Fabricius in 1792, reaches approximately 30 millimetres (1.2 inches) in length. Individuals of this beetle species usually have a bright metallic coloration that is most often bronze green or purple, and may sometimes even be blue. These beetles feed on snails and small insects. This species can be found in France, Italy, Malta, Spain, and the North African countries of Algeria, Libya, Morocco, and Tunisia.
