About Camptogramma bilineata (Linnaeus, 1758)
This species, Camptogramma bilineata, has a wingspan ranging from 20 to 25 mm. The forewings and hindwings range in color from yellow to ochre brown, and are occasionally lighter in color. Both forewings and hindwings are covered in brown or white serrated crossbars. There are typically three or four distinct white crossbars, which may be bordered by a black line. The wing margin is black and wavy. Its yellowish eggs are round, only slightly flattened at the pole. The egg surface displays a large mesh pattern, with warts located at the mesh intersections. Caterpillars are greenish to slightly brownish, with clearly visible segment incisions. Their dorsal line is darker than the main body color, while their lateral line is often brighter. The head is usually light brown and relatively small. The pupa is reddish brown, with a short cremaster made up of two small bristles. The thoracic area and the wings of the pupa have a brownish-greenish hue.
