Camponotus aurocinctus is a species of ant belonging to the genus Camponotus. This species was first described by Smith in 1858. It is endemic to Australia. Colonies of this ant prefer to nest in ground soil, with a strong preference for sandy soils. They are most commonly encountered foraging during the late day. Foraging workers are found on low vegetation or directly on the ground, and have been recorded at Stockyard Plain and Danggali Conservation Park in South Australia.
