About Callopistria latreillei (Duponchel, 1827)
Technical description and variation of Callopistria latreillei (formerly referenced as E. latreillei Dup., quieta Tr. nec Hbn., and roseitelum Walk.) (44 f): The forewings are whitish, suffused with pale and dark grey, and with blackish fuscous in some areas. The inner and outer lines are black, edged with white. A prominent white spot sits before the inner line on the submedian fold. The stigmata are dark grey, with interrupted pale outlines. The reniform stigma has a white dot beyond its lower outer angle. The submarginal line is powdery white, interrupted by olive or pinkish veins, and is preceded by a pink wedge-shaped mark on vein 6. A lunulate white line runs close before the termen. The fringe is olive yellow, chequered with white. The hindwings are fuscous, and paler towards the base in males. The larva is red-brown, with a black dorsal triangle broadly edged with yellow on each segment. The lateral lines are yellowish, with a black spot on each segment. The wingspan is about 25 millimetres (0.98 in).
