Callirhoe digitata, commonly known as fringed poppy mallow or standing wine cup, is a flowering plant species in the mallow family Malvaceae. It is native to the U.S. states of Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Arkansas, and Alabama, and has been introduced to Illinois. It is a perennial plant that produces magenta flowers. In its wild habitat, it grows best in sunny areas with drier, more alkaline soils. It is recommended for use in both formal and informal plantings. It is hardy in USDA zones 5 through 8, and becomes drought resistant once it is fully established.
