About Calligrapha serpentina (Rogers, 1856)

Calligrapha serpentina, commonly known as the globemallow leaf beetle, is a species of leaf beetle belonging to the family Chrysomelidae. This species can be found in Mexico and the United States. Several significant taxonomic changes were made to this group in 2021: the species Calligrapha mexicana, which had long been treated as a synonym of C. serpentina, was revalidated, and the variety Calligrapha serpentina var. discrepans was elevated to full species status as Calligrapha discrepans.
