About Caleta decidia
This section describes the butterfly species Caleta decidia. On the upperside of males, the base color is dark brown. A broad, continuous white band crosses both wings; it begins at the second discoidal nervure of the forewing (anterior wing), where it projects toward the outer margin. The underside of the wings is white. On the forewing, all of the following markings are dark brown: a small spot at the base, a band before the middle, a large spot on the costal margin near the apex, a large spot at the anal angle, the apex (which also bears two small white spots), the outer margin, and a spot in the middle of the outer margin. On the hindwing (posterior wing), all of the following markings are dark brown: a band near the base, a small spot on the inner margin, a large spot below that small spot, a bifurcated (bifid) spot near the apex, and a single spot located between this bifurcated spot and a series of submarginal lunular (crescent-shaped) spots. This butterfly is distributed across Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, Nepal, and India.
