Its leaves are lance - shaped and rigid; the basal leaves are obtuse, while the stem - borne leaves are pointed. References: Roy. lugdb. 110, Sauv. monsp. 76. Also known as Bupleurum folio rigido (Bauh. pin. 278) and Bupleurum alterum latifolium (Dod. pempt. 633).
