Bumba horrida is a medium-large tarantula species, with an approximate size of five inches, or 130 millimeters. It is found in northern Brazil, just like the three other species that make up its small genus. This species is considered fairly shy, and was discovered relatively recently. Its scientific name is Bumba horrida (Schmidt, 1994).
