This moth is found in the United States, specifically in western California, where its range extends from Sonoma County, north of San Francisco, southward to San Diego County. The wingspan of adult Bryolymnia viridata is approximately 27 millimeters. Adult specimens of this moth have been collected between late May and mid-October each year.
