Bruguiera exaristata Ding Hou is a mangrove species that grows as a small tree or shrub with a self-supporting growth habit. It occurs in shallow saline or brackish water, where it forms mangrove swamps. This species is native to the Lesser Sunda Islands, New Guinea, and Northern Australia. It can be found along the coast at the mouth of the De Grey River, but it is rare at North West Cape.
